STEP 1: Measurement of installation space and artwork dimensions

Clients can opt to measure the space themselves or BPG can send out a professional to take measurements of the installation area to ensure the nominated artwork size fits the allocated space. In addition, we can inspect the wall to determine what application method will be most suitable for installation of the signage.

STEP 2: Substrate choice and application method

At Bright Print Group, we can print on almost any material, some common types of materials suitable for signs include: paper board, corflute and aluminium composite panel. Our professional staff can help you choose the most suitable material for your signage.

For the Guise Public School outdoor signs, aluminium composite panelling was chosen for its sturdy structure that can withstand the outdoor environment. After assessing the product's placement within the school, our production team suggested that the corners of all panels be rounded off to prevent potential injury to students and staff. The signs were securely positioned in place onto the brick walls with screws. Our installation process will always consider the safety of the end user.

STEP 3: Supply of design files

BPG accepts vector artwork as well as high resolution raster artwork for wide format printing. File formats we prefer include PDF, EPS, AI, JPG and PSD. We request that all text be outlined and artwork to be supplied in CMYK or Pantone colours. We also offer creative services for clients that require artwork to be custom designed.

STEP 4: Prepress

All artwork files received or created are pre-flighted by our Prepress department before printing begins. Supplied files will be checked for specifications such as: sufficient print resolution, correct dimensions, set-up of colours, artwork bleed allowance, font embedding/outlining, use of overprinting, etc. Highlighted problems will be fixed and a soft-copy proof is provided for client approval before printing.

STEP 5: Printing & Cutting

For production accuracy, cut guide lines and recognition dots for registration are added to the print file by our operators. Our software and hardware use sensors to locate this information for automated alignment to ensure all artwork is printed and cut with exact precision. During production and before delivery/installation, comprehensive Q.A. checks are conducted.

STEP 6: Installation

All items are packed appropriately for their size and construction to ensure pristine condition is maintained throughout the delivery process. At the site, our installers will prepare the application area and apply the artwork to the allocated space. Any rubbish created from the installation process will be cleared from the site.
