More than 600 Australian children will be diagnosed with cancer this year. This week alone, three Australian children will lose their battle with cancer.
Children’s Cancer Institute Australia for Medical Research (CCIA) is the only independent medical research institute in Australia dedicated to research into the causes, prevention, better treatments and ultimately a cure for childhood cancer.
Our vision is to save the lives of all children with cancer and eliminate their suffering. Our mission is to be a leader in preventing cancer and finding ways of curing cancer in children through world-class research. We want to ensure the best possible quality of life for these children and their families and share our vision with others to increase awareness, participation and funding.
We rely on the support of the community in raising vital funds for childhood cancer research. For more information on the work of the Institute please visit our website.

POLICE & COMMUNITY YOUTH CLUBS

www.pcycnsw.org

Police & Community Youth Clubs (PCYC) is a non-profit organisation which partners with NSW Police to reduce and prevent youth crime, develop in young people skills, character and leadership, and promotes physical activity in life.
PCYC runs 60 clubs across the state where young people can enjoy a wide range of sports, arts and recreational activities in a safe environment. Some of the young people who attend PCYC are referred through the juvenile-justice system, Courts, the local Police (LAC) or schools. A range of resources and specially designed programs are made available to PCYC Police who work closely with these ‘youth at risk’, towards the prevention of youth crime and repeat offences.
Due to the continued support of many businesses and individuals in NSW, PCYC has been able to expand its work in youth development, which means more young people leading full, healthy lives, and safer communities.
